“ Maria was amazing to work with. I hadn't taken a dance class in about 15 years, and my husband had absolutely no dance background. We wanted to choreograph our first dance so we didn't just stand in one place and sway for a few minutes. In just a few weeks, Maria took us from absolute beginners to having a beautiful, polished routine that blew away our family and friends.
First, she worked with us to understand what we wanted for our wedding and discussed a few songs we were considering for our first dance. By the second session, she helped us choose the song that would work best for our dance. By the fourth session, we had learned the choreography for the whole song. Sometimes first dances get cut short because it's awkward or boring - we danced to the whole song and it truly flew by.
After we had learned all our moves, we added a few extra lessons with Maria. We wanted to polish up our routine and learn a few extra moves (also, we were having tons of fun in the lessons). Maria was so thorough and worked on every little detail - where to look, how to hold our hands, etc. She was very intentional with all of it, and it really paid off in our stunning photos. The bonus moves paid off, too. We were able to incorporate some of them in our dancing later in the night and at some wedding we've since attended. Everyone is always so impressed.

After just a few lessons with Maria (and quite a few evenings practicing in the kitchen), we had picked a song, learned several sets of steps and moves, and knew how to put everything together. We picked a Latin dance, but the moves translate into almost any genre of music, giving us a skill we can enjoy for the rest of our lives.
